About the role

  • This role balances direct client service with team management, including performance monitoring, and ensuring adherence to firm compliance and planning standards.

Responsibilities

  • enforce best practices, templates, and review protocols established by the Planning Associate Team Lead
  • Address day-to-day personnel needs, including scheduling, workload balancing, and performance-related concerns with the support of the Planning Associate Team Leader
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports to provide coaching, support professional growth, and ensure alignment of goals, responsibilities, and development opportunities
  • Monitor progress toward team and individual SMART goals, offering course correction and support as needed
  • Collaborate with HR and Planning Associate Team Leader to support career development and make recommendations for promotions within the planning team
  • Support team culture, morale, and cross-office collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a wealth management-related or financial services field
  • Occasional travel may be required

  • CFP or CFA certification
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated willingness to take initiative, support others, and lead by example

Nice to have

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills and a willingness to make decisions using sound and accurate judgement
  • Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player, able to work well with all levels of the firm, and pitch in wherever needed

Compensation

  • Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point of market reference for compensation decisions.
  • $100-145,000 annually
  • Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and most importantly, performance in the job role
