About the role
- This individual will oversee the successful execution of a projects team within Fort Meade, Maryland and the Department of Defense.
Responsibilities
- Ability to manage and direct a group of workers; ability to supervise, counsel and mediate; ability to persuade, convince, influence and train others; ability to advise and interpret on the application of policies, procedures, and standards to specific situations; ability to explain, demonstrate and clarify to others within well-established policies, procedures, and standards.
- An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or as necessary.
- Write documents, reports etc. using a writing instrument (e.g., pencil, pen) or computer.
- It's expected that this individual will be available to support the team as needed.
Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk and hear.
- The employee frequently is required to walk, move up and down stairs, use hands and arms to handle, feel and reach, push, pull bend and twist.

- Ensure the team achieves forecasting accuracy month to month and end of year to allow for better planning and reporting.
- Keen understanding of P&L budgeting.
- Ensure that the correct resources are identified and staffed appropriately.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across a range of federal, state, and local agencies.
- Provide direct oversight for the field team including project managers, supervisors and electricians.
- Mentor and train project managers to improve communication skills, customer relationships and conflict resolution.
- Provide specific and timely Performance Management for all direct reports to include but not limited to SMART targets, reviews, feedback, training, mentoring, coaching.
Skills
- 3-5 years' experience leading, coaching, and mentoring direct reports.
- Previous experience in vertical markets, including Higher Education, Healthcare and federal government.
- Understanding of Microsoft systems (Office, Dynamics/AX, CRM).
Compensation
- $135k-$175k
