Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Eligibility Criteria: Flexibility to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States - a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat and rain.

  • Posting Information: Salary/Hourly Rate: $17 - $19/hour Hours per week: 28 Job Classification: Seasonal Job Type: On-site Duration: 5/1/2026 to 9/2/2026 Location: Great Barrington, MA What You'll Do: The Seasonal Ranger is a part-time position at Monument Mountain and is primarily responsible for greeting and educating visitors, enforcing parking fees and providing site-related materials.
  • The Ranger may also be responsible for leading occasional guided walks and programs and assisting with special events.
  • This position will begin in May and run through Labor Day weekend, at around 28 hours per week, Thurs-Sun.
  • Specifically, you'll: Staff the entrance station and greet visitors in a welcoming manner.
  • Assist visitors with the parking kiosk.
  • Answer questions about The Trustees of Reservations and the history, geology and ecology of the.
  • Educate visitors about The Trustees mission and encourage them to become active members.
