You'll be responsible for team health, delivery, and technical quality and you'll be comfortable jumping into the code or managing incidents when needed.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Own team execution and delivery: roadmap planning, goal setting, and shipping well-tested, usable products.
Build partnerships across Product, Data, and Ops to align on priorities and drive business outcomes.
Develop team members through mentorship, coaching, and thoughtful career conversations.
A track record of building resilient systems and leading teams through scaling challenges.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a software engineer working on distributed systems in Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
3+ years of experience managing engineers, ideally on small, fast-moving squads.
Clear communication, a bias toward action, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Compensation

Depending on your skillset and experience, you can expect your base salary to be between $152,000 - $190,000 as well as a discretionary bonus and leading total rewards package.
Depending on your skillset and experience, you can expect your base salary to be between CA$148,800 - $186,000 as well as a discretionary bonus and leading total rewards package.
