About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support instructional coaching cycles for a cohort of teachers, including lesson observation, feedback, and data analysis.
  • Co-lead professional development sessions focused on curriculum implementation, instructional best practices, and data-driven instruction.
  • Drive a caring and accountable student culture.
  • Co-lead initiatives to build and maintain a positive school culture aligned with Ednovate's values and approach.
  • Support the implementation of school-wide behavioral systems and restorative justice practices.
  • Lead or co-lead student support interventions, including attendance meetings, discipline conversations and student leadership groups.
  • Manage specific school-wide projects or initiatives (e.g. family engagement nights).
  • Develop principal skills and competencies.
  • Actively engage in on-the-job opportunities to develop the leadership skills and competencies needed to thrive as a school leader at Ednovate.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all school operations and finances and develop a readiness to manage a school budget.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor degree, required
  • 2+ years of K-12 school leadership experience with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in academics, culture, and engagement, required
  • experience working in charter schools and/or high school, strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience managing and coaching adults towards ambitious results, required
  • Clear and compelling connection to Los Angeles, preferred
  • A California Administrative Credential, Single Subject Teaching Credential or Out of State Teaching Credential, preferred.

Compensation

  • $115k-$125k
