About the role

  • Are you the friend who constantly geeks out over everything movie related, from the newest blockbusters to the timeless classics?
  • Do you overanalyze why a specific scene transition worked so well, or call a plot twist (or a jumpscare!), minutes before it actually happens just by listening to the music of a movie?
  • The creative team at Unseen is expanding, and we're on the lookout for a Video Editor who loves all things media, from YouTube deep-dives to cinematic documentaries.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate daily with the Unseen team, and lead project contributors (researchers, voiceover actors, other editors, etc.) as needed.
  • Know how to drive your own project from start to finish while successfully multitasking.

Requirements

  • Narrative Experience: A passion for video editing, media production, or content creation
  • you know how to bring a story to life and evoke strong emotions.

Skills

  • Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other post-production tools.
  • Creativity: A great eye (and ear) for music and b-roll, combined with a deep sensitivity to emotion.
  • North American based candidates only (International applications will not be considered).
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Film/TV production or Post-Production is an asset, but not required.
  • Work experience in the world of social media is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Scriptwriting experience is an asset.
  • Mastery of Adobe software ( Premiere Pro and After Effects ).
  • A portfolio! Show us your work!
