About the role

  • Overhead Lineworkers assist in the installation, removal, inspection and repair of overhead plant and apparatus at heights not in excess of 35 feet above ground.

Requirements

  • Education:
  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Must have 2 years of electrical or related trades experience. Prior pole climbing experience preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications:
  • Working Conditions:
  • Ability and willingness to perform heavy physical work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and at times for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand a minimum of five to six hours on the ground - may be in a bucket on a line truck or at the top of a distribution pole.

Nice to have

  • Must have 2 years of electrical or related trades experience.
  • Prior pole climbing experience preferred.
  • Completion of a formal Lineworker training program preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated ability in overhead electric systems as evidenced by successfully passing knowledge- based exam and physical prescreening.
  • Must pass EEI testing (CAST test) and successful completion of a technical and behavioral interview.
  • Must have a work history that demonstrates safe work habits.
  • Massachusetts License to Operate Motor Vehicles
  • Valid CDL Class B Driver's License or equivalent Military license strongly preferred
