Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians responsible for engine preparation activities.
- Safely oversee and perform movement of engines, engine stands, and supporting equipment utilizing overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Support troubleshooting of technical, quality, and process-related issues within the work area.
- Maintain accountability for accurate overhaul prep log data, serial number tracking, component verification, and photographic records.
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production leadership to resolve issues and improve operational performance.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and standardization.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment consistent with 5S and company standards.
- Previous experience leading teams, coordinating work activities, serving as a lead technician, or acting in a similar leadership capacity.
- Two years of mechanical assembly, engine build, overhaul, repair, or turbine engine experience.
Requirements
- Ensure proper installation and verification of engine accessories and required components according to work instructions and engineering specifications.
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry, documentation, and production tracking systems.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle engine components and materials as required.
- Two years of experience in a lead, team lead, or coordinator role within a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment.
Compensation
- Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
- $58,556.00 - $87,834.00
