You will manage the team responsible for the UX of Zillow's AI Mode across web and mobile - a multimodal, context-aware experience that other Zillow teams are actively integrating into their own surfaces.

Partner across product, design, AI/ML, and peer engineering teams - aligning on requirements, establishing consistent UX principles across platforms, and driving integrated agentic experiences to production.

5+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful hands-on work in frontend development for web (React, TypeScript, CSS) and/or mobile (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin, or cross-platform frameworks).
3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams, with a demonstrated track record of developing and retaining strong engineers.
A people-first leader with genuine technical credibility in frontend development - you've shipped rich user-facing experiences on web and/or mobile and use that experience to guide your team without micromanaging.
Experience leading cross-platform frontend teams and navigating the trade-offs between platform-native and shared-component approaches.

In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $206,700.00 - $330,300.00 annually.
The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

The Agentic AI Experience team sits at the forefront of Zillow's transformation toward an agentic product experience-shaping how new AI capabilities come to life through natural, multimodal conversations and dynamic UIs, while serving as stewards of the framework that enables teams across Zillow to contribute to a seamless, unified experience.
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Software Development Engineering to lead the frontend engineers on the Agentic AI Experience team across web, iOS, and Android.
