About the role

  • As our new Associate you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.
  • Due Diligence Engagements: - Evaluate a company's exposure to material ESG risks and its capacity to mitigate those risks for a client considering acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a rapid and deep understanding of a company's core operations through a review of publicly-available information and extensive primary-source document review (policies, contracts, litigation, etc.)
  • Identify all potentially material ESG issues and develop tailored questions to be asked of key stakeholders to further assess the company's risk exposure and management capacity
  • Collect and organize ESG data from portfolio companies to support ongoing monitoring and reporting efforts.
  • Review updated ESG-related documents and information from portfolio companies to identify key changes or developments.
  • We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability.
  • Malk Partners (the Responsible Finance team within SLR) advises leading investors on responsible investment.
  • The team assists asset managers in establishing best-in-class environmental, social, and governance (ESG) programs that are deployed throughout the investment lifecycle to mitigate risk and create value.

  • Experience: Top candidates will have 0-1 years of experience in management consulting or a similar field. Previous experience working with private equity or in ESG/Sustainability is preferred but not required.

  • Assist in preparing refreshed annual ESG reports by compiling data and summarizing progress under the guidance of senior team members.
  • The salary range for this position is $80,000 with the final agreed upon compensation to be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
