About the role
- You'll report to our General Counsel and work closely with the leadership team, including our two founders.
- This is a broad, high-leverage role working across the company.
- You'll be involved anywhere legal intersects with the business: from shaping new products and helping us navigate an evolving regulatory landscape to reviewing commercial agreements and structuring partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Our team brings together fintech operators from Cash App, Brex, and Finix, alongside founders who have built and scaled their own businesses.
- We're hiring an Associate General Counsel to help build the legal foundation for Slash as we scale. You'll report to our General Counsel and work closely with the leadership team, including our two founders.

- Support the development and launch of new financial products and features
- Partner with compliance, risk, and operations teams to align on regulatory strategy
- Transportation support
Requirements
- 5+ years of legal experience (law firm, in-house, and/or government)
- Experience in fintech, financial services, banking, or high-growth technology companies
- Excellent judgment and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and leadership
Nice to have
- Experience supporting expansion into new consumer products, capabilities, or regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with crypto, stablecoins, or AI
- Prior experience at an early-stage or scaling startup
- You like being a generalist and jumping across different problem areas
- You're comfortable making decisions without perfect information
- You move quickly and communicate clearly
- You enjoy working closely with founders and operators
Skills
- Advise on a wide range of legal matters across product, commercial, and regulatory
- Identify areas of legal or regulatory risk and propose practical paths forward
- Manage external counsel where needed
Compensation

- Competitive base salary ($240K-$300K)
