Wellmark is hiring a part-time Corporate Security Specialist for our Des Monies, Iowa office. - Part-time hours will average 20 hours/week or less.
Possible shifts include second and third shifts on weekdays (Monday-Friday) and first, second, and third shifts on weekends.

Your presence in-office is critical to effectively perform the responsibilities of the role.

High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree in security management or related field preferred).
2+ years of experience in a security role, preferably within a corporate environment or a related security/protective services role
or equivalent training or experience (i.e. military or law enforcement training and experience).
Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, and emergency response.
Conflict resolution skills, including the ability to de-escalate situations and engage with offenders.
Ability to think critically, applying logic and sound judgment in high-pressure situations to assess threats and respond appropriately.
Demonstrable knowledge of defensive tactics and security equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
