About the role
- Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
Responsibilities
- This role supports the production and manufacturing engineering team by fixing equipment issues. It also develops new ideas and solutions and drives safety improvements daily.
- Support and implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Document the processes used in building products.
- Recommend product improvement and maintain standard drawings/specs.
- Support new product launches and development (PDP Process).
- Support daily production through solving, testing, and validation of product.
- Knowledge on DFM (Design for Manufacturability) to provide input for new and existing products.
- We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions that connect and protect some of the world's most sensitive equipment, buildings and critical processes.

Nice to have
- High School diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training)
- 2-years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Skills
- Ability to network across multiple functions.
- Ability to show initiative, be a self-starter and be able to work with little to no supervision.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
- Ability to use computer programs including MS Office, MRP (JD Edwards preferred), SolidWorks, etc. - intermediate level.
- Ability to process engineering change orders (ECO's) as they relate to bills of material and product routings.
- Ability to document processes in work instructions format.
- Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Knowledge of product costing labor and material.
Compensation
- $20.40 - $37.80 Per Hour
- Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
- nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location.
- Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
- Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
