Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Fire Protection field of study such as Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Science, Fire Safety, or other fire protection related degrees
- and 8 years' of professional fire protection experience.
- OR Associate degree in Fire Protection field of study such as Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Science, Fire Safety, or other fire protection related degrees
- and 10 years' of professional fire protection experience.
- OR HS Diploma and 12 years of professional fire protection experience.
- NICET II Fire Alarm qualification is required.
- Experience performing Fire- & Life-Safety inspections and audits, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of required personal protective equipment.
- Proven experience in overseeing site Inspection, Test, and Maintenance (ITM) activities.
- Ability to load, transport, and unload tools and/or supplies specific to a fire protection or life safety activities.
- Must be able to show proficiency in the operation of MS Office suite applications to include Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, and non-MS applications such as Adobe products.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing DOE fire protection requirements (DOE O 420.1B or 1C).
- Said experience should include a demonstrated ability to provide oversight and reporting of Fire Protection Program compliance.
- Nuclear experience functioning within a fire safety program.
- Department of Defense Chemical Demilitarization Program experience will also be considered.
- Provide periodic reviews of Hanford Fire Department (HFD) Pre-Incident Plans (PIPs).
- Assess the effectiveness of fire safety implementation and compliance, identifying and reporting fire protection program deficiencies to the Fire Protection Manager.
- Assist in the identification of fire protection attributes in the work planning process to ensure work is accomplished in accordance with FPP requirements.

Compensation
- Details: $101,573.67 - $157,957.21 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
