About the role

  • This position plays a key role in achieving inventory, production, quality, and cost objectives while maintaining compliance with company policies, ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing principles, and 5S practices.
  • Coordinate planning for materials department Coordination for processing materials to POU location by requirement date.
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy and achieving inventory goals.

Responsibilities

  • The Materials Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the flow of materials to support manufacturing operations while ensuring production schedules are met.
  • Drive the reduction of inventory adjustments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the supply base in support of business objectives.

Requirements

  • Work with capacity planning to find under/over loads to determine if outsourcing or level loading is required

  • Attend and participate in departmental tool box meetings.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data entered in the system.
  • Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing / 5's programs for materials.
  • Assist and participate in cross training Ensure compliance to ISO Procedures, work instructions, 5P's and promote continuous improvement within the department.
