About the role

  • This role serves as a senior technical resource responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, security, and reliability of production database platforms while supporting the adoption of cloud and managed database technologies.
  • The annual salary range for this position is $106,000.00-$176,000.00.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and support production Oracle databases, including configuration management, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
  • Support and maintain database workloads hosted on cloud and managed database platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Tessell.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions leveraging scripting, APIs, configuration management, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) technologies.
  • Perform work in accordance with Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, vulnerability remediation, security compliance, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Support highly available, business-critical production environments requiring reliable 24x7 operations.
  • Support additional database technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, as operational requirements evolve.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • additional FOUR (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • SIX (6+) years of experience in database administration, database engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or other federal government clearance as required.
  • Experience with Tessell or similar Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) or managed database platforms.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or other enterprise database technologies.
