- Summary The Tax Strategy and Planning Manager is responsible for strategic tax planning and compliance for complex business initiatives and transactions.
- It involves advising on tax implications for infrastructure and energy projects, reviewing contractual tax provisions, and supporting acquisitions and divestments.
- The role requires strong technical research skills to address intricate tax issues and proactive monitoring of legislative changes to safeguard the company's tax position.
Requirements
- 1-3 years Tax contract review experience
- 1-3 years Utility industry experience
- To ensure we fulfill that obligation, employees may be required to work outside their normal work hours and perform tasks outside of their normal responsibilities in support of emergency operations.
Nice to have
- Advise on the tax implications of new business initiatives, including infrastructure development and energy-related projects.
- Conduct technical tax research and prepare memoranda and supporting documentation on complex tax issues.
- Review and provide guidance on tax-related provisions in commercial contracts, particularly those involving data center development, energy procurement, and regulated entities.
- Monitor and assess the impact of legislative and regulatory developments on the company's tax position and strategy.
- Bachelor's Degree In Accounting or equivalent
- At least 5 years of public accounting and/or corporate tax experience at a publicly traded company,
- Strong analytical, technical, and research skills.
- Skilled in drafting clear and persuasive technical memos and presentations for both tax professionals and business stakeholders.
