About the role

This position is responsible for gathering and entering patient demographics and insurance information into the EMR system, obtaining necessary authorizations, and maintaining accurate records for both new and returning patients.
The Receptionist also handles various administrative tasks, including managing phone calls, ensuring proper documentation for therapy visits, and processing payments.

By ensuring that patient needs are met in a timely and efficient manner, this position helps support the overall patient experience and clinic workflow.
Excellent telephone communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to perform basic mathematical functions, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

The ideal candidate for this position will have strong computer skills, including the ability to type 45+ words per minute, with a general understanding of basic computer systems.
The candidate must be computer literate and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
The ability to remain organized and effective under changing circumstances is essential for success in this role.

EMR experience is preferred but not required, and familiarity with Microsoft applications is an asset.
