About the role

  • The Paralympic Foundation of Canada (PFC) is seeking a Coordinator, Donor Experience to join our Foundation team.
  • It also plays a key role in PFC's signature fundraising event, ParaTough Cup, by supporting team recruitment, participant fundraising, and donor stewardship.
  • The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and technology skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution and implementation of partner and stakeholder-led fundraising initiatives
  • Support the development of concepts to convert first-time donors into regular and/or monthly donors
  • Execute regular donor recognition and stewardship to maximize support
  • Engage with Paralympic Foundation of Canada's unique audience segments to maximize support
  • Be the front-line support for all general Paralympic Foundation of Canada telephone and electronic communications
  • Day-of-event support

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or a combination of training and related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with both internal and external colleagues (e.g., CPC employees, vendors, sub-contractors)
  • Experience working in the field of fundraising and/or communications
  • Experience establishing and managing operational plans and budgets
  • Experience working in a national context and with other cultures

Skills

  • Experience in philanthropic communications and creative writing
  • Strong working knowledge of modern and progressive fundraising techniques, donation administration, and management
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities, as well as skills in leading and mobilizing others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ideally also in French.
  • Ability to work with autonomy, multitask, and effectively establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of fundraising database software will be considered an asset.
  • Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of the sport system is considered an asset

Compensation

  • $40,000-$45,000 annually plus benefits
  • Reports: Senior Manager, Donor Experience
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to help develop and implement innovative and original fundraising initiatives, including:
  • Games campaigns (taking place before and during Paralympic Games)
  • Annual campaigns
