Responsibilities

  • Performs standard laboratory procedures, including blood processing, blood typing and DNA extraction.
  • Performs administrative duties associated with lab records and processing payments.
  • May perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
  • Performs clerical and/or administrative support duties for identifying, screening and scheduling donors and coordinates payment to said donors.

Requirements

  • Must be able to sit or stand for several hours.
  • Must be able to bend and stoop.
  • With or without corrective lenses, must be able to see.
  • Licensure as a certified State of California Phlebotomist, CPTI or CPTII required.
  • 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience required.
  • Current CPR and AED certification required.
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Databases.

Nice to have

  • One year of clinical laboratory experience working in a high-volume lab preferred.
