Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain an interactive projections system consisting of several computers, projectors, cameras, networks and other stage related equipment;
  • Set-up, calibrate and maintain multi-stacked DLP video projectors;
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of Projection department equipment specific to the production, in order to operate equipment safely;
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following the established safety policies and procedures;
  • Work with the Department Supervisor, Artistic and Stage Management staff to support their needs during rehearsals, trainings and performances;
  • At the discretion of the Department Supervisor, perform administrative duties for the department;
  • Perform all other job-related duties, as requested.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of the following: - Interactive visual technologies
  • Previous experience in the following: - Programming, operating and maintaining Media Server Playback systems and using their affiliated hardware and software
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • 10-hour OSHA course completion card required
  • Do you have experience in theater or have a transferrable skill that we utilize daily?
  • Participate in required safety classes and emergency rescue procedure trainings;

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • At least 1 year of experience with interactive visual technologies and stage performance;
  • At least 1 year of experience with video technologies and technical theatre, with specific training in electronics and theatrical lighting systems
  • MDI, DMX, Max / MSP;
  • Ethernet and wireless technology (TCP/IP, UDP, Switches, Firewalls)
  • Programming, operating and maintaining Media Server Playback systems and using their affiliated hardware and software;
  • Large format video projectors, video cameras, hardware and software video capture, editing and compression;
  • PC hardware set-up, maintenance and administration
