Responsibilities

  • Documents effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to relay pertinent information and provide updates of child activities per established guidelines and regulations
  • Assists with basic technical and administrative classroom support
  • Maintains the safety and physical well-being of children in a designated classroom
  • The unit of the UWEC Children's Nature Academy is an Accredited, 5 Star, Early Childhood program that strives to support children and families.
  • Maintain ratios and other requirements of licensing, accreditation, CACFP, and the University of Wisconsin

Requirements

  • Entry level coursework required by the Department of Children and families.
  • This position is expected to continue contingent on maintaining the required certification.
  • Maintaining paperwork as required.

Nice to have

  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood or a Related Field.

Compensation

  • The expected hourly hiring salary will be based on qualifications and experience.

  • Providing direct care to children, including but not limited to planning developmentally appropriate learning opportunities and curriculum enhancement.
  • Assists with the planning and facilitation of classroom programming and classroom coordination and organization for a early childhood education facility according to established curriculums
  • Updates and organizes individualized and developmental educational plans for children
