- Senior Technology Reporter, Ars Technica The Senior Technology Reporter will work with the Ars Technica team to produce daily content, including informed news and analysis, in the consumer technology field.
Responsibilities
- Storage, including NAS, hard drives, and solid-state drives
Requirements
- 5+ years of demonstrated writing and research expertise in relevant subject matter
- Deep working knowledge of the consumer technology landscape, including operating systems, PCs, mobile and desktop hardware, and relevant historical context
- Collaborative team player and self-starting individual contributor, with ability to mentor less experienced writers where appropriate

- Demonstrated ability to own a beat, set and meet coverage priorities, and identify stories before they become obvious
- Strong news judgment, critical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills

- Strong time management, timeliness, and dependability across multiple projects and competing assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work some early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as projects may require
Compensation
- The expected base salary range for this position is from $86,000.00 - $115,000.00.
