About the role
- Communicates any discrepancies noticed in the plans and specifications to the estimators/engineers.
- Overseas, organizes, and converts incoming CAD/GIS bid data for importing into Autodesk Civil3D, Map3D, ESRI ArcGIS programs or similar type programs.
Responsibilities
- A day in the life as a CAD Designer involves creating and maintaining detailed engineering drawings and layouts that support utility-scale solar and wind energy projects.
- You'll work closely with engineers and project teams to develop site layouts, electrical and civil drawings, equipment arrangements, and construction documents while ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- This role plays a key part in transforming engineering concepts into buildable designs that support successful project planning, execution, and delivery.
- Tracks design changes and additions/upgrades to all plans include communicating the scope of design changes to the project teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of a two-year technical degree in Drafting and Design - Civil, Electrical, and/or Mechanical or related degree (eg.
- Computer Science, Engineering Technology, etc), or directly relevant experience in utility scale renewables.
Skills
- Proficient computer and technical skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (including Excel and Word), Revu Bluebeam.
Compensation
- $26.41 - $36.32 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
