About the role

Our team offers well over 200 years of combined Life Science staffing experience providing consulting, direct hire & outsourcing solutions to the Life Science industry with offices in San Francisco, Redwood City and San Diego,
  • California; Tampa, Florida; and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Perform RF, microwave and antenna characterization for the company's hardware devices
  • Design and build RF and Microwave characterization fixtures e.g. de-embedding structures for feed lines to small devices
  • Develop custom phantoms emulating biological tissue effects impactful to devices
  • Perform antenna gain measurements using anechoic chamber
  • Work with product and UX teams design environment emulating for use cases of interest to evaluate antenna performance
  • Design of experiments for and execution of electromagnetic-thermal characterization

Requirements

  • BS and 5+ years of relevant experience or MS and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise and proficiency in using vector network analysers, spectrum analyzers and anechoic chambers
  • Strong understanding of transmission line theory and practice, good experience in prototyping especially in feeds to small radiators
  • Strong understanding of EM radiation fundamentals, performance characteristics of common antenna types and experience in antenna characterization

Nice to have

  • Experience with wireless systems characterization i.e. end-to-end data e.g. measuring and analyzing BER vs data rate, constellation diagram
