About the role

  • Title: Front-end Focused Full Stack Developer (70% React, 30% Java Spring Boot) Location: McLean, VA (Onsite - 5 Days a week.
  • Integrate front-end applications with existing analytics models, APIs, and backend services.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop modern, responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Build intuitive user interfaces that enable financial users to execute portfolio analytics and review model outputs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, traders, researchers, and other end users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate actively in architecture, design, and technical discussions.
  • Develop and enhance backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
  • Create and maintain APIs that connect frontend and backend components.
  • Support the ongoing modernization and replatforming of legacy applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong front-end development experience with React.
  • Backend development experience using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with business users and stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with AG Grid (AG Grid Enterprise or Community).
  • Experience supporting fixed income, capital markets, trading, or investment management applications.
  • Understanding of fixed income products, bonds, interest rate trading, portfolio analytics, or related financial concepts.
  • Broader financial services experience supporting traders, researchers, portfolio managers, or investment professionals.
  • Experience with mortgage finance organizations such as Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae.
  • Experience working on application modernization, rewrite, or replatforming initiatives.
  • Technical Environment Front End: React, TypeScript, AG Grid (Preferred) Back End: Java 21, Spring Boot, REST APIs Database: SQL Server or any other Relational Databases
