About the role

  • These tests determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of in-process batches, raw materials, and finished products.
  • The purposes of these tests include quality control, process control, or product development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage quality records and retains of production batches.
  • Perform routine production quality checks to ensure finished products are packaged according to specifications.

Requirements

  • Ability to clearly identify and communicate issues that we need to address and to take the necessary steps to avoid future errors that we will make.
  • This is a 2nd Shift position working the hours of 3.00PM to 1.30AM (10 hrs shift Monday-Thursday) with the ability to work some overtime.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum High School Chemistry knowledge preferred, but not required.

Nice to have

  • Ensure that accurate safety procedures and housekeeping are maintained and conduct work in a manner that protects yourself, co-workers, and the environment.
  • Set up, adjusts, calibrates, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments such, viscometers, chemical balances spectrophotometer, and other equipment.
  • Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
  • Record test results on batch tickets and in our computer operating system.
  • Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
  • Conduct in-coming raw materials testing, ensuring conformance to required specifications.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum High School Chemistry knowledge preferred, but not required.
