About the role

  • SUMMARY: This position will work collaboratively in a cross-discipline technical team of engineers, programmers and maintenance personnel in the development and implementation of automation control systems for all the Zeeland Facility.
  • Produces and is accountable for proper and accurate engineering work and record keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain electrical drawings.
  • Create and maintain ladder logic Assures the successful completion of assigned projects, tasks, and activities on time, within budget, while delivering the predefined project performance goals.
  • Supports continuous electrical design improvement effort.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials and requisition electrical components.
  • Maintains engineering documentation accuracy concerning revisions and design changes.
  • Maintain PLC-based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation completing programming changes as necessary.
  • Maintain electrical schematics.
  • Maintain PLC documentation upon receipt from equipment suppliers and an archive of PLC programs and machine controls drawings in an electronic and/or paper format and throughout facility.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve automated equipment including devices, I/O, instruments, and all other components associated with automated processes to meet production and safety goals.
  • Contribute to specifications for equipment purchases, which include review and commentary on equipment controls drawings prior to build approval.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, programming experience with an ability to program

  • Related Certifications are preferred, but not required.

  • Basic computer skills will be necessary to log information, process daily work orders, and complete required documentation.
