Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all associated equipment, and perform regular safety checks
  • Monitor, operate and maintain the facility's well and domestic water system
  • Manage time appropriately and be able to prioritize a work order backlog

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Minnesota 1st Class B or higher boiler operator's license
  • Ability to read and record data from gauges, meters and microprocessor-based data acquisition systems and accurately interpret such data
  • Ability to act quickly and calmly in emergency situations
  • Must be able to lift up to 50
  • Must be able to use a hoist and rig pieces of equipment that could weigh up to 300lbs to remove or replace the equipment
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
  • Ability to work in hot and noisy environmental conditions

Nice to have

  • 5-years of high-pressure boiler experience
  • Experience running and maintaining chillers,
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
  • Experience operating chillers, cooling towers and related HVAC equipment.
  • Familiarity with air compressors and compressed air systems.
  • Experience in treatment and monitoring of water and wastewater systems.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is:
  • $66,000 - $90,800 Annual At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role.
  • The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc.
  • As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. ​
  • Beyond base salary, General Mills offers a competitive Total Rewards package focusing on your overall well-being.
  • You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
