About the role

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers, facilitating clear and effective communication.
Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

Lead and manage the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
develop a deep understanding of the project to evaluate the risk profiles associated with timely delivery, address gaps in risk identification and mitigation and inform the business of associated potential impacts.
develop mitigation strategies for major project risks to ensure project success.
Develop and maintain key relationships to effectively support internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with colocation providers to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Work closely throughout design, construction, and commissioning to fully coordinate and integrate the separate scope of tenant fit out projects with the DCIB teams leading these efforts.
Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with design teams to ensure that construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of data center design, construction, and operational requirements, with a focus on cutting-edge technologies and sustainability.
Project Management: Proven expertise in managing large-scale data center construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
Budget Management: Proficiency in creating, managing, and optimizing project budgets to ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Vendor Management: Experience in selecting, negotiating, and managing contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies to ensure compliance in all construction activities.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots, is required.
