Requirements
- A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. (or equivalent) required
- a 2-year technical degree (or equivalent) is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, and have the ability to learn new systems quickly is required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English is required
- Must be willing and able to work in manufacturing environments to include
- wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hardhats, hairnets, and steel-toed shoes are required
- While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to stand
- and will require the ability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and push up to 65 lbs is required
- Ability to work 8-to-12-hour shifts, fixed schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed on a regular basis as required.
- A minimum of 2 or more years of related manufacturing/production experience is preferred
- Previous work experience in a food manufacturing/GMP environment is preferred
- Previous fork-lift experience is preferred
- Mechanical aptitude
- experience troubleshooting equipment and machines is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
Nice to have
- Splicing and loading of web rolls onto unwind by job related equipment as needed.
- Mixing of chemical vats.
- Monitor machines, anticipate and respond to alarms as they arise.
- Keep the machine area cleaned and organized.
- Stack pallets by driving forklift or manually.
- Empty trash from the area.
- Check membrane quality at machine viewing station frequently.
- Look for and eliminate common defects.

- The Chemical Operator in the Membrane production area assists with the production of water elements (membrane).
- Chemical Operators will be involved in different rotations on the production lines.
- Operators rotate roles (described below) based on business, shift and ergonomics needs.
- Besides the primary rotations, the operator needs to fix or adjust the machines with hand tools as needed.
