About the role

  • The Client Portfolio Management (CPM) team plays a critical role in supporting the firm's distribution efforts by translating complex investment concepts, portfolio insights, and market perspectives into clear, compelling content for clients and prospects.
  • The Assistant Vice President, CPM Content Specialist focuses on the creation, management, and execution of investment content and client communication materials.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with marketing to develop prospect-facing thought leadership materials and social media content that reflects Harris | Oakmark's investment philosophy and differentiated approach
  • Support and manage content deliverables from inception through completion, including project timelines, version control, compliance review, and stakeholder coordination
  • Manage recurring reporting deliverables including monthly and quarterly packets, attribution write-ups, and RI/ESG client reports, including data gathering, production, compliance submission, and distribution
  • Support content strategy initiatives and the development of multi-jurisdiction content to support global distribution objectives
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support client communications, including portfolio, benchmark, attribution, valuation, company, sector, and market-related information
  • Maintain and enhance libraries of approved language, source data, exhibits, templates, and other recurring materials
  • Collaborate with investment professionals and other business partners to ensure content is timely, accurate, and aligned with business objectives
  • In this role, you will support the development of portfolio, performance, and market-related content for clients and prospects.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required; finance, economics, business, communications or related field preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Intellectual curiosity along with a strong desire to understand investment strategies, portfolio construction, and market developments
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to build effective partnerships across investment, distribution, marketing, compliance, and other business functions

Nice to have

  • Translate portfolio positioning, performance drivers, market context, and investment themes into clear, accurate, and compelling written materials for prospects, clients, consultants, and intermediaries
  • Develop a strong understanding of Harris |Oakmark's investment philosophy, strategies, portfolios, and approach to client communication
  • 4-8 years of experience in asset management, investment communications, investment product, or an investment analyst role
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • finance, economics, business, communications or related field preferred
  • CFA designation or progress toward the CFA designation is preferred
  • Excellent written, editorial, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and accurately communicate complex investment topics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of investing, financial markets, and fundamental value investing
