About the role

  • Dow has an exciting an exciting opportunity for a Millwright in Deer Park, Texas.
  • The job will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a variety of process and rotating equipment used in industrial processing.
  • The mechanical equipment may include ANSI pumps, blowers, fans, gearboxes, conveyor belts, hydraulic systems, conveying systems, baghouses, mixers and agitators.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the task as per the conditions of the Safe Work Permit.
  • Create a field procedure when a procedure does not exist.

  • Performs the Maintenance role (hands-on) in the Global Maintenance Work Process.
  • Opportunities to learn and grow through training and mentoring, work experiences, community involvement and team building.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a Journeyman Millwright or successful completion of a millwright apprenticeship.
  • 3 or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance role.
  • Must have a current, valid US Driver's License.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • Feedback information on job package quality and Root Cause Analysis data as required.
  • Review procedures as required.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience working in a Petrochemical facility.

  • Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Stand 50% of the time.
  • Walk for extended periods of time.
  • Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
