About the role
- The Production Planner will be responsible for production planning, inventory management and strategic analysis at our manufacturing locations.
- This role will report to the Operations Planning Sr.
- Proactively communicates and mitigates issues with production constraints.
Responsibilities
- Manage production plan, work order priorities, short- and long-term capacity plans, and reporting for all lines.
- Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided to maintain production.
- Create and schedule production orders as per plan.
- Collaborates with Procurement, Production, Logistics, Quality and Engineering to review execution of production schedules, testing schedules, backlog status, and other potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling.
- Support the scheduling of shipments between plant and 3PL partners to ensure timely delivery of target work orders.
- Develop actions to disposition and prevent obsolete inventory.
- Exceptionally, DRSQ may choose to supplement that internal team with support from temporary staffing agencies, placement services, and/or recruiting agencies ("Agency").
Nice to have
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration preferred
- 2+ years related experience
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business priorities and adjust production plans in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills
Skills
- Demonstrated excellence using Excel or GSheets to monitor performance
- Experience using an ERP and WMS system; Netsuite experience a plus
- Someone who gets things done without perfect resources, is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
- Someone who has high standards, takes ownership, and is invested in the outcome
- Takes ownership of issues by anticipating risks and proposing solutions
- Someone who proactively help others, stays positive and has a good sense of humor
- Ensure data integrity of WMS and other production tracking tools is maintained.
Compensation
- The anticipated base compensation for this role will be $80,000 - $95,000.
