About the role
- This is an excellent opportunity for lawyers with experience handling insurance coverage/coverage litigation matters to work with a collaborative group of experience coverage/coverage litigation attorneys who handle cases in Colorado and throughout the US, working with domestic and foreign insurers.
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment
- Meaningful Work: Handle sophisticated matters alongside experienced attorneys and partners
Requirements
- 5+ years of coverage/coverage litigation experience
- Experience in areas of insurance coverage including drafting coverage opinions in one or more insurance lines (CGL, property, professional liability, cyber, intellectual property, etc.)
- Coverage analysis and writing experience
Nice to have
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of Colorado
- At least 8 years of defense litigation
- Experience in either or both third-party or first-party claims
- Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions required
- Experience cross-examining plaintiffs and other fact witnesses preferred
- Experience handling court appearances, depositions, and trial experience a plus
- Trial experience a plus
Compensation
- $175,000 - $200,000 USD
