About the role

  • Support equipment reliability and operational efficiency by performing operator care activities, maintaining clean work areas, and partnering with skilled trades to identify and address equipment issues.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively by sharing information, expectations, concerns, and updates in a way that ensures alignment across team members, support functions, and leadership.
  • Drive results consistently by maintaining a strong focus on production goals, quality standards, and operational performance, even during challenging circumstances.
  • Staffing: Ensure operators are properly positioned based on production needs and make adjustments throughout the shift to maintain flow.
  • Employee Development: Support training and cross-training of operators and identify employees who need additional coaching or development.
  • Apply strong manufacturing knowledge by understanding equipment, processes, and production requirements to support efficient operations and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and process effectiveness while helping implement sustainable solutions.

Requirements

  • The coordinator is expected to maintain a strong floor presence, identify issues early, and take immediate action or escalate when additional support is required.

  • Material Flow: Verify required material, racks, tooling, and components are available to support production and communicate shortages before they impact the line.
