Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical subsystems and full robot builds from drawings, BOMs, and work instructions
  • Fabricate brackets, fixtures, and small custom parts as needed to support builds and repairs
  • Troubleshoot mechanical fit issues and flag design or part problems back to engineering
  • Maintain and safely operate shop tools and equipment - drill presses, angle grinders, welders, hand and power tools
  • Keep build stations organized and hardware properly staged and labeled
  • Support field or bench testing by building and rebuilding mechanical assemblies quickly
