- This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable with welding, drilling, angle grinders, and general mechanical assembly, and who takes pride in precise, repeatable work.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical subsystems and full robot builds from drawings, BOMs, and work instructions
- Fabricate brackets, fixtures, and small custom parts as needed to support builds and repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical fit issues and flag design or part problems back to engineering
- Maintain and safely operate shop tools and equipment - drill presses, angle grinders, welders, hand and power tools
- Keep build stations organized and hardware properly staged and labeled
- Support field or bench testing by building and rebuilding mechanical assemblies quickly
