About the role

  • The team primarily focuses on implementing features related to user acquisition and growth, including but not limited to user registration, onboarding, SEO, and account management.
  • This is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto office.
  • Work with product management and other stakeholders (Backend, Product, and UI/UX) to iterate on new growth-related features, including registration, onboarding, and SEO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical architecture and implementation of scalable and resilient applications that run on multiple platforms, such as web, mobile web, and smart TV devices.
  • Lead and drive innovation in building experiment-driven features that push the boundaries of user experience in streaming.
  • Consistently ship features and improvements across Web and OTT apps with minimal guidance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact updates.
  • Identify and implement improvements in shared UI components, platform-specific optimizations, and overall front-end infrastructure.
  • This includes automated visual regression testing, design-to-code translation, intelligent component documentation, and real-time performance insights.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience developing high performing and scalable web applications using React JS, Redux, JavaScript, Web APIs, HTML5/CSS, and Typescript
  • Experience leading engineering initiatives and effectively communicating with cross functional stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and internships
  • You must be willing to travel to our Toronto office two days/week.

Compensation

  • Pursuant to local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is as listed annually below.
