Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and delivers automation and instrumentation training that supports safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in PLC-based control systems, instrumentation, communications, and automation field devices, partnering with Operations, I&E, Safety, and leaders to build workforce competency.
  • Build and maintain PLC curriculum (logic fundamentals, I/O setup, troubleshooting, safe edits, and bypasses).
  • Develop training on instrumentation end devices (installation, calibration, verification, and troubleshooting) and end-to-end signal path.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated field experience with oil & gas automation systems, including PLC-based control and instrumentation.
  • Working knowledge of common instrumentation devices (e.g., pressure and level measurement) including calibration/verification.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree, or higher, in Automation.
  • 5+ years of automation experience, including PLC-based control systems in an operations environment.
