About the role

Oversees the displays and preparation of coffee products in accordance with Company standards.
Works in conjunction with upper management to schedule, direct, and delegate work to department personnel.
Oversees designated department and does not extend to other departments within the store.

Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.

Minimum of 18 years of age required.
Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
Manager Food Safety certification required.
Completion of Barista Basics Training Program and any additional recommended Starbucks leadership training required.
Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
Continuously required to talk and hear.
Continuously required to use hands for reaching, touching, or handling.
High school Diploma or GED and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Advanced knowledge of coffee department operations.
Advanced knowledge of in-store ordering machine and inventory management processes.
Ability to lead and motivate others.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and/or calibrated scales.
Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as an espresso machine, coffee grinder, commercial ovens, etc.
Ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools.
Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes.
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
