About the role
- Oversees the displays and preparation of coffee products in accordance with Company standards.
- Works in conjunction with upper management to schedule, direct, and delegate work to department personnel.
- Oversees designated department and does not extend to other departments within the store.

Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age required.
- Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
- Manager Food Safety certification required.
- Completion of Barista Basics Training Program and any additional recommended Starbucks leadership training required.
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
- Continuously required to talk and hear.
- Continuously required to use hands for reaching, touching, or handling.
- High school Diploma or GED and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of coffee department operations.
- Advanced knowledge of in-store ordering machine and inventory management processes.
- Ability to lead and motivate others.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and/or calibrated scales.
- Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as an espresso machine, coffee grinder, commercial ovens, etc.
- Ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools.
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
