About the role

  • Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Recruitment, the role focuses on domestic partnership development and engagement across the Greater Toronto Area, with an emphasis on in-person, field-based outreach.
  • The ideal candidate brings exceptional business development skills with experience in education, community outreach, or recruitment, and thrives in a relationship-driven, goal-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • This is a highly mobile role: the successful candidate will spend a significant portion of their time on the road representing the university at schools, fairs, community events, and partner sites.
  • Engaging employee appreciation and community-building events throughout the year

Requirements

  • Master's degree is considered an asset.
  • comfort with frequent daily travel across the GTA is required.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences both in-person and virtually.
  • Proficient with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and experience with data management and reporting tools.
  • Energetic, resourceful, and results-driven, with a track record of achieving business development goals.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend events as required by the outreach calendar.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in business development, community outreach, student recruitment, or partnership development, ideally within the education sector.
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating and sustaining strategic partnerships with diverse communities, educational stakeholders, and/or corporate partners.
  • Valid Ontario G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle; comfort with frequent daily travel across the GTA is required.
  • Willingness and ability to conduct sustained in-person outreach, including outdoor and on-site engagement activities (fairs, community events, campus tabling) in varying conditions and seasons.
  • Proven commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in education and community-based work.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to manage sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, capable of handling multiple initiatives and deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of Canadian educational systems, settlement services, and Indigenous communities is a strong asset.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build productive relationships across internal teams and external partners.

Compensation

  • $70,000.00 base annually + commission eligible
