  • The Difference You Make: Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is looking for a VP to join the Export & Agency Finance (EAF) team in the US, with a primary focus on Latin America and Multilateral Agencies (MLAs).

Responsibilities

  • Support the origination, structuring, and execution of EAF transactions, with a focus on Latin America and MLA-backed financings (e.g., IDB, IFC, CAF).
  • Build and maintain relationships with borrowers, sponsors, exporters, corporates, sovereign and sub-sovereign entities, financial institutions, ECAs, and multilateral agencies.
  • Identify financing opportunities and develop tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Build and maintain financial models, including cash flow analysis and profitability metrics.
  • Support client relationship management, including pitchbooks and participating in client meetings, particularly in LatAm markets.
  • Lead credit approval processes, due diligence, and transaction documentation.
  • Lead transaction execution from mandate through financial close.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, or related field
  • 6+years of relevant experience in structured finance, export & agency finance, project finance, infrastructure finance or development finance
  • Experience with ECA and/or Multilateral Agency financing structures
  • Ability to operate effectively in a cross-border, multicultural environment

Nice to have

  • Experience working on Latin American transactions or clients
  • Existing network of relationships within ECAs, multilateral agencies, corporates, sponsors, and financial institutions.
  • Exposure to MLAs such as IDB, IFC, CAF, or World Bank Group
  • Background in infrastructure, energy, or industrial sectors
  • Prior experience in Investment Banking and Structured Finance

Compensation

  • $185,000.00 USD Maximum:
  • $220,000.00 USD
  • The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range.
  • For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week.
  • The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
