About the role

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with leadership to support various team initiatives, this includes but not limited to team building events and functions.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas following company policies and industry best practices (5S).
  • Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production Control to ensure work completes on time to schedule.
  • Operate various equipment in support of daily operations. This includes but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, lift tables etc. to ensure safe hardware handling operations.
  • We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion.
  • This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
  • As a Production Support Specialist, you will be part of a vertically integrated M anufacturing A nd Development T eam.
  • This is for the tinkers, the makers, the creators, the pioneers, the problem solvers, and those who own their role as if they are going to fly on the vehicle.
  • We are building a road to space.

Requirements

  • 2+ year of Inventory Control, Tool Crib and/or Material Handling Experience or 2+ year of Administrative Experience.
  • Experience working with a cross functional team.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, unassisted.
  • Must be able to pass DBIDS background check.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Must be able to work well with others, take direction and execute swiftly, be mindful of process improvement opportunities, and be able to problem solve.
  • High School Diploma, Accredited GED or equivalent vocational certifications or training
  • Demonstrated understanding and can apply continuous improvement concepts.
  • Ability to safely drive a forklift and perform acute work.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel on occasion.
  • Must be able to pass DBIDS background check. Role will be on a military installation.

Compensation

  • Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
