Responsibilities
- Support budget planning and analysis; building financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance for the global legal organization.
- Support collection of monthly vendor budget information, identifying how it affects original yearly budgets and identification of variance(s).
- Manage the legal budget and provide regular updates and tracking items that affect the budget, including recoveries.
- Drive variance analysis against budgets to identify risks and opportunities.
- Participate in the development of strategic initiatives to optimize and report on legal spend.
- Partner across legal finance teams, as well as financial planning & analysis teams to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5 years' experience in Finance required.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required.
Nice to have
- 5 years' experience in working in a Law Firm or In-House Legal Department preferred.
- An ideal candidate must be qualified and capable of handling both internal financial reporting of large and complex budgets for Global Legal as well as managing important client relationships.
- A background in Legal Operations/ Finance is highly preferred.
- Based in the Greater Pittsburgh area is preferred
