About the role

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: - N/A Working Conditions and Physical Effort: - Work involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise, and vibration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the production area, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and food safety regulations.
  • Monitor and repair facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, to support a safe and comfortable working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inspections, and inventory management.
  • Document equipment repairs, parts replacements, and maintenance procedures to track equipment history and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and safety personnel, to address maintenance issues and implement solutions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including motors, drives, and industrial sensors.

  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • 5 years' related experience in industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
  • 5 years' experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.

Skills

  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies as needed.

Compensation

  • for this role is based on experience up to $45.00 per hour plus shift differential.
