About the role
- The Solace Platform Engineering team is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help design, build, and evolve the CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and development environments that power Solace Cloud and its supporting microservices.
- In this role, you will operate at the intersection of platform engineering, DevOps, and developer experience, building scalable, secure, and reliable systems that enable product teams to move faster with confidence. You'll work deeply with AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD systems, partnering closely with software engineers, SREs, and security teams to define best practices and improve building and delivering software at Solace.
- In this role, you will operate at the intersection of platform engineering, DevOps, and developer experience, building scalable, secure, and reliable systems that enable product teams to move faster with confidence.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll take ownership of critical platform capabilities and help shape the future of how Solace engineers build and ship software.
- Design, build, and maintain highly reliable CI/CD pipelines that support large-scale, cloud-native microservices
- Build and maintain developer environments (local, ephemeral, and cloud-based) that are fast, secure, and easy to use
- Define and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm to manage cloud resources and Kubernetes workloads
- Partner with engineering teams to standardize deployment, testing, and release workflows
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying friction points in the developer experience and delivering practical solutions

- Familiarity with secrets management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault)
- Experience improving developer experience (DevX) at scale
- Background in highly regulated or security-conscious environments
- Passionate about automation, reliability, and developer productivity

Compensation
- Expected salary range for this role is from $115,000 to $140,000.
- The final offer within this range will reflect the successful candidate's skills and experience.
