About the role

  • Position Overview The Senior Account Director is a strategic architect of talent and creative solutions.
  • You will bridge the gap between high-level client vision and the tactical execution of matchmaking, translating vague needs into clear, actionable job descriptions.
  • This position starts as an hourly w-2 estimated at 35-40 hours per week, with the potential of converting to full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Navigation: Build deep-rooted trust with senior stakeholders, moving beyond order taking to proactive advisory and risk mitigation within a demanding client environment.
  • Strategic Scoping: Take the lead in defining what the client actually needs. Translate complex client requests into high-fidelity, clear job descriptions that ensure successful matchmaking.
  • Operational Solutioning: Continuously audit and improve ways of working. Identify friction points in the client/agency relationship and design repeatable, scalable processes to resolve them.
  • Growth Architect: Partner with the Group Account Director to identify organic expansion opportunities, navigating the client's internal matrix to find new ways we can provide value.
  • Pod Mentorship: Mentor and develop Account Executives, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and bias toward action.
  • Strategic Scoping: Take the lead in defining what the client actually needs.
  • Identify friction points in the client/agency relationship and design repeatable, scalable processes to resolve them.
  • Ambiguity Architect: You don't just follow roadmaps; you build them.
  • Problem Solver: You anticipate challenges early and drive practical, solutions-oriented outcomes under pressure.
  • Master Communicator: You possess the executive presence to challenge a client's thinking respectfully and the empathy to support a freelancer's journey.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience within an agency or in-house creative environment, specifically managing high-touch, complex accounts.
  • You are a solution-oriented leader who thrives in the gray area of a maturing business.

Compensation

  • This role will be compensated hourly as a w-2 position. The rate range for this role is $68-70/hour, based on experience. The role is estimated at 35-40 hours per week with the potential to convert to a full time position.
