Responsibilities

Drive Architecture & Design: Work on 0-to-1 projects as well as enhance existing system scalability, maintainability, and expandability by designing and developing high-quality software products, leading architectural decisions, and managing the full product delivery lifecycle.
Design for the Long-Term, Execute for the Short-Term: Deal with ambiguity, propose and drive alignment around long-term scalable solutions.
Innovate Across Domains: Engage in API design, event modeling, data modeling, ETL, and the development of business logic and customer-facing features with an emphasis on innovation and excellence.
Collaborate and Lead: Work closely with cross-functional teams, integrating customer feedback into the engineering roadmap.
Use data (not ego) to support technical discussions.
Lead by example and advocate for best practices in both development and collaboration.
Champion AI-Driven Development: Lead the team's adoption of modern AI development tools and practices, coaching engineers on effective usage, shaping workflows around AI-assisted engineering.
Platform Development Expertise: Demonstrated experience building and scaling large-scale platforms for web and mobile applications in complex and ambiguous problem spaces.
Product Ownership: A high sense of ownership with the ability to drive initiatives through the finish line, even when they cross team boundaries.
Work on 0-to-1 projects as well as enhance existing system scalability, maintainability, and expandability by designing and developing high-quality software products, leading architectural decisions, and managing the full product delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

+8 years of professional experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
3+ years of experience operating as a senior technical leader on multi-team/system initiatives.
Ability to tackle challenging and ambiguous technical problems, backed by strong computer science fundamentals.
Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in distributed systems development using Python and AWS.

Nice to have

Deep expertise in distributed systems development using Python and AWS.
Experience with Golang, Java, Django, or React is a plus.
