About the role
- Leading and/supporting Compass Circle and Badgework
- Psychoeducational programming for mental health issues (e.g., bullying,suicide prevention, mental health awareness month)
- Supporting the development and implementation of socioemotional practices in the classroom
Responsibilities
- Teacher and Parent Consultation for individual student supports
- Common building hours are 8:00am-3:30pm Monday, 8:00am-4pm Tuesday-Friday.
Requirements
- Must have a CA teacher certification as a School Counselor or School Social Worker
- Experience with Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness is desired.
- A master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a mental health discipline is required.
- Licensure or Certification
- Must be professionally licensed in the mental health field in California, or be eligible and actively pursuing licensure OR
Nice to have
- Experience working in a school setting with a K-12 population is preferred.

- Superb interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

- Facilitates the optimal functioning and well-being of students by providing individual and group counseling.
- Provides educational workshops by participating in proactive outreach programming.
Compensation
- $72,000 - $90,000 depending on years of experience and license status, prorated to 0.8 FTE. Comprehensive benefits package for employees and dependents.
