About the role
- You will play a key role in executing accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring compliance with CRA and provincial agencies, and partnering with internal teams on system enhancements, reporting, audits, and data integrity initiatives.
- This role goes beyond payroll processing.
- You should have a proven track record of operationalizing payroll in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with Canada payroll experience.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile payroll prior to submission and validate output files after processing.
- Act as a liaison between Payroll, HRIS, and IT to support system configuration, testing, and optimization.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll data across HRIS and vendor platforms.
- Prepare scheduled and ad hoc payroll reports, including registers, GL files, tax reports, and reconciliation documents.
- Support HR, Finance, and Tax teams with payroll data for audits, budgeting, and planning.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of Canadian payroll experience, with expertise in full-cycle payroll.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws, wage regulations, and payroll taxation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- In order to satisfy our contractual obligations with clients, the successful candidate will be required to pass a basic, standard Criminal Records check.
- You will also be required to sign off on HP's Confidentiality, Non-Solicitation and Conflict of Interest Agreement

- Prior experience with ADP GlobalView highly preferred.

Compensation
- The typical base pay range for this role is $57,250 to $78,750 CAD annually.
Benefits
- Pay within this range will be based on the review of experience, skills, and internal equity.
- During your employment term, you will receive 15 paid vacation days per year prorated based on your start date.
- Detailed information regarding benefits-will be provided upon hire and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
- Validate earnings, deductions, taxes, benefit contributions, and final pay.
